Gurugram-based SRF will invest nearly Rs 750 crore as part of its expansion strategy, setting up a new agrochemical plant in Gujarat and a BOPP film manufacturing facility in Indore. The decision was approved by the company’s board on July 23, as per a regulatory filing.

The company will invest Rs 250 crore in establishing an agrochemical intermediate manufacturing unit at Dahej, Gujarat. The facility will have an annual capacity of 12,000 tonnes and is expected to be completed within 18 months. "This project will be completed in 18 months," the filing stated. Additionally, SRF will invest Rs 490 crore to set up a Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film production facility in Indore. The unit will include a 10.4-mtrs.-wide Bruckner film line and a metalliser. This project is expected to be completed in 24 months.

SRF Ltd operates across multiple segments including fluorochemicals, specialty chemicals, performance films and foil, technical textiles, and coated and laminated fabrics. These new investments aim to expand the company’s manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its position in the chemicals and packaging film markets.
