Ircon International, in joint venture with JPW Infratech, has secured a major order from Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) valued at Rs 755.78 crore.

The contract involves the "construction of roadbed, minor bridges, buildings, installation of track (excluding supply of rails, sleeper, & thick web switches), and other civil engineering and general electrical works in connection with the new BG line between Pipaliya Nankar (excl.) and Budni (incl.) stations (Chainages 129.000 to 198.000 km) in the Indore-Budni section of Bhopal Division, West Central Railway, Madhya Pradesh."

The execution period for this project is set at 42 months from the date of contract award. The new BG railway line is expected to improve regional transport efficiency and support economic growth by facilitating smoother freight and passenger movement.

Ircon International, known for its infrastructure expertise, stated that the project aligns with its strategy of participating in nation-building through critical transport infrastructure projects.
