Kamat Hotels (India) (KHIL) has launched a 70-key eco-luxury Orchid Hotel in Panchgani, Maharashtra, strengthening its presence in the state’s hill-station tourism segment.

Operated under a leased model, the property features 47 rooms and 23 luxury tents, designed to blend comfort with eco-conscious hospitality. Located in the scenic Sahyadri hills, Panchgani is a high-demand destination known for its colonial charm and natural beauty. The Orchid Hotel offers key amenities such as a swimming pool, 20,000 sq. ft. of open lawns, a banquet hall, and a multi-cuisine restaurant. It is targeted at destination weddings, family vacations, and corporate retreats—segments driving demand in India’s growing experiential travel space.

Executive Director Vishal Kamat sees strong potential in the wedding and celebration market. KHIL’s expansion aligns with its asset-light model, leveraging leases and management contracts to grow its diverse hotel portfolio across India.
