Megha Engineering & Infrastructures (MEIL) has won a Rs 3,374.8 crore contract from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB).
The order involves the Godavari Drinking Water Supply Project Phase-II and Phase-III, as well as the filling of Osmansagar and Himayathsagar reservoirs for the rejuvenation of the Musi River. The contract has been awarded under the hybrid annuity mode (HAM) through National Competitive Bidding (NCB).
The contract scope includes the manufacture, supply, lowering, laying, jointing, testing, and commissioning of 3000 mm diameter mild steel (MS) pumping mains in two parallel rows, each designed to carry 10 thousand million cubic feet (TMC) of water from Mallannasagar to Ghanpur. Additionally, MEIL will construct a pump house, install electro-mechanical equipment, transformers, and a substation at Mallannasagar, all located in Medak district, Telangana.
