The construction of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s (PCMC) 700-bed general hospital at Moshi is progressing rapidly, with the structure completed up to the third floor.
Launched in December 2023, the Rs 340.67 crore project aims to enhance public healthcare infrastructure and ease the burden on Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital. Spread across 16 acres, the facility will cover 57,450 sq. mtrs. and include a basement and eight floors, envisioned as a modern, sustainable medical campus. PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh highlighted the hospital’s significance in expanding healthcare access with advanced design features.
As per the officials, excavation and basement construction are completed, and the project, set on a 36-month timeline, is on schedule. Chief Engineer Pramod Ombhase noted that advanced systems like a Pneumatic Tube System and PSA oxygen generator are being integrated, alongside green certification compliance.
Once operational, the Moshi General Hospital will be among the largest public healthcare facilities in the Pune Metropolitan Region.
