R K Transport & Constructions has bagged a major contract valued at Rs 333.53 crore from South Eastern Coalfields (SECL) for executing composite mining services at the Amlai open cast project (OCP) in the Sohagpur area of SECL.

The contract, awarded on a percentage-quote basis, includes an extensive scope of handling, transport, and other mining-related services. Specifically, the work comprises overburden (OB) removal across different strata, extraction of coal using surface miner technology, and the loading and transportation of coal. It aims to enhance operational efficiency and improve output through advanced mechanised methods, in line with SECL’s production targets.

This significant win highlights R. K. Transport & Constructions' growing presence in the coal mining services sector and reinforces its reputation for delivering large-scale, high-value infrastructure and resource-based projects.
