Sagar Cements is on course to achieve a production capacity of six million tonne (MT) by FY26, according to Joint Managing Director Sreekanth Reddy.
“Our modernisation plans at Andhra Cements’ Dachepalli unit are progressing as per schedule. We are confident of achieving our target volume of about 6 mt production capacity in FY26,” Reddy said while sharing the company’s Q1 results.
In addition, the company’s subsidiary, Sagar Cements (M), has received board approval to expand its cement grinding capacity from one MTPA to 1.5 MTPA and set up a six MW solar power plant. The total capex earmarked for these projects is Rs 140 crore, aligning with the company’s green energy initiatives.
Looking ahead, the Hyderabad-based firm sees its enhanced capacity positioning it well to benefit from rising demand in the infrastructure and real estate sectors.
