www.projectstoday.comAugust 2025Project Tenders11Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure invited tenders for twin tunnelOne of the most notable tenders issued in July 2025 was by the Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure for design & construction of 3 lane underground twin tunnel road from Hebbal Esteem Mall Junction (km. 0.000) to Silk Board KSRP Junction (km.16.745) along with 3 lane or 2 lane entry & exit ramps including operation and maintenance in Bengaluru City North South Corridor on modified BOOT mode under Package-1&2 in Karnataka. The combined value of the twin-tenders was Rs 17,698 crore.Another notable tender of the month was issued by NHPC for Lot-3: main dam, including coffer dam and HM works, of the Dibang Multipurpose Project in Arunachal Pradesh. The aggregate value of the tenders was Rs 17,069.79 crore.In all, during the month of July 2025, a total of 6,992 project tenders were floated for various work orders worth Rs 1,77,251.72 crore. During the month, 20 mega-value (Rs 1,000 crore and above) worth Rs 7,9691.43 crore were issued. These tenders were issued across hydel-based power, Roadways, Railways, Irrigation, industrial and software parks, and Power Distribution.BY OWNERSHIP The state government agencies issued 4,847 tenders worth Rs 1,22,734.53 crore and accounted for 69.24 percent of the total tenders issued during the month. On the other hand, the Central government issued 1,885 tenders for various project-related works worth Rs 53,677.14 crore. As usual, the share of the Private sector was minimal. In all, private companies issued 190 tenders worth Rs 840.05 crore. BY SECTORS The Roadways sector saw issuance of 2,043 tenders worth Rs 78,726.54 crore in the month of July 2025. In addition to the mega tender issued by Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure, another notable tender of the month was issued by the Bihar State Road Devp. Corpn. for the construction of Ganga Path connecting Munger (Safiabad)-BariyarpurGhorghat-Sultangaj & Sultanganj-Bhagalpur-Sabour Road in Patna on Hybrid Annuity mode. The aggregate value of the tenders was Rs 7,849.36 crore.In all, the road building agency, Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure, floated three tenders with an aggregate value of Rs 17,721 crore. The NHAI floated 97 tenders with an aggregate value of Rs 9,412.54 crore. & The Government of India, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways floated 46 tenders with an aggregate value of Rs 7,967.22 crore.The Railways sector achieved the second position with 352 tenders worth Rs 19,981.93 crore during July 2025.
