Orders & ContractsAugust 202514www.projectstoday.comKNR Constructions secures the largest orderIn July 2025, Projects Today reported that 558 companies secured a total of 674 contracts worth Rs 59,166.92 crore across various sectors. Notably, five Indian companies bagged six major overseas job-work contracts, underscoring the country%u2019s expanding global presence.BY SECTORSIn July 2025, the Water & Sewerage Pipeline & Distribution sector topped all industries in terms of contract value, finalising 50 contracts worth Rs 9,717.45 crore, which accounted for 16.42 percent of the total contract value awarded during the month.Major contracts awarded:1. Megha Engineering & Infrastructures bagged the largest contract, valued at Rs 3,374.8 crore, from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB). Awarded under National Competitive Bidding (NCB), the contract is for Phase II and III of the Godavari Drinking Water Supply Project, involving the filling of Osmansagar and Himayathsagar reservoirs to support the rejuvenation of the Musi River, under the hybrid annuity mode (HAM). 2. Ramky Infrastructure was awarded a Rs 2,082.46 crore contract by Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) for development under GDWSS Phase II and III. The scope of the contract includes laying of 200mm dia MS pipeline from Ghanpur to Osmansagar, 2400mm dia MS pipeline from Ghanpur to Muthangi, 3000mm dia MS pipeline from Kokapet to Osmansagar conduit along the Outer Ring Road (ORR), 2200mm dia MS interconnection pipeline between Osmansagar and Himayathsagar reservoirs, and 3000mm dia MS pipeline from WTP to MBR at Ghanpur, Mahaboobnagar district, Telangana.3. LC Infra Projects secured a Rs 493.48 crore contract from the Municipal Corporation of Bhopal under AMRUT 2.0. The project covers the augmentation, renovation, and extension of the water supply system in Bhopal city to ensure enhanced coverage and efficiency.In July 2025, the Coal sector witnessed the awarding of eight contracts with a cumulative value of Rs 8,802.19 crore.Major Contracts Awarded:1. KNR Constructions secured the largest contract in this sector, valued at Rs 5,664.67 crore, from NTPC. The contract pertains to the development and operation of the Banhardih Coal Mining Block located in Jharkhand.2. Ajantha Radha Earth Movers was awarded a Rs 2,302.85 crore contract by Northern Coalfields (NCL). The scope involves excavation of 221.87 MBCM overburden (solid) using mechanical methods including excavators, dumpers/trippers, drills, dozers, graders, and water sprinklers. The composite work includes blast hole drilling, excavation, loading, transportation, unloading/dumping, spreading, dozing, and grading.
