Among these, a significant contract worth Rs 2,269 crore was secured by NCC from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The scope of work includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of rolling stock, communication-based signalling and train control systems, telecommunication, platform screen door (PSD) systems, and depot machinery and plant. The contract also entails 15 years of comprehensive maintenance, following a twoyear defect liability period, for Line 6 of the Mumbai Metro Rail Project, which spans from Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli (Eastern Express Highway).Another key contract in this sector was awarded to ITD Cementation India by Metro Railway, Kolkata, valued at Rs 1,097.23 crore. The scope of work involves the design, procurement, and construction of an RCC Box Metro tunnel, including the construction of the Birati underground station building for Michael Nagar and Birati stations, and associated subways with entry-exit structures.In July 2025, the Power Distribution sector saw the finalisation of 60 contracts, with a cumulative value of Rs 5,314.86 crore. A major highlight was a contract worth Rs 1,349.11 crore awarded to Diamond Power Infrastructure by Adani Energy Solutions. The scope of work includes the supply of 24,080 km of AL-59 high-performance conductors, to be deployed across key transmission projects such as Jamnagar, Khavda-IV D, HVDC, Navinal-II, and Mahan-II, all located in Gujarat. In July 2025, the Coal/Lignite Based Power sector recorded the awarding of 13 significant contracts. Among these, a major contract worth Rs 3,122.28 crore was secured by Tata Projects from the NTPC. The scope of work includes balance of plant (BOP) Package for Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (3x800 MW).In July 2025, the Real Estate sector witnessed the awarding of 41 contracts. A standout project was secured by Ahluwalia Contracts (India), which bagged a Rs 2,089 crore contract from DLF. The scope of work includes civil and structural works, along with rough finishing for %u201cThe Dahlias%u201d residential development at DLF5, Gurugram.The Water, Sewage & Effluent Treatment sector saw the awarding of 20 contracts during the month. A key project was awarded to VA Tech Wabag by the Bangalore Water Supply & Sewerage Board (BWSSB). The contract covers:%u2022%u0009Design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of wastewater treatment plants with tertiary treatment, biogas generation, solar sludge drying beds, and intermediate sewage pumping stations (Works A),%u2022%u0009Procurement and construction of rising mains, main sewers, laterals including manholes, and lift sewage pumping stations (Works B),The project will be implemented under the hybrid mode for Bommanahalli Zones in 110 village areas (Phase II) as part of the Karnataka Water Security Initiative. It is scheduled for completion over 30 months, followed by 10 years of operation and maintenance.CONTRACT TERMINATEDBGR Energy Systems has received a termination notice from Tamil Nadu Power Generation Corporation (TNGCPL), formerly known as TANGEDCO.The contract pertained to the design, engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, inspection, transportation, erection, testing, and commissioning of the Balance of Plant (BoP)-covering mechanical, electrical, and control & instrumentation works, including associated civil works.
