Project TendersJune 202512www.projectstoday.comPHED, Rajasthan issued tenders for drinking water to 1473 villages under Jal Jeevan MissionOne of the most notable tenders of the month was issued by the Public Health Engineering Department, Rajasthan (PHED) for supplying drinking water for 1,473 villages of Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand & Udaipur districts of Rajasthan from Jakham Dam. In all, during the month of May 2025, a total of 8,588 project tenders were floated for various work orders worth Rs 1,26,390.24 crore. During the month, 13 mega-value (Rs 1,000 crore and above) worth Rs 19,116.27 crore were issued. These tenders were issued across Water & Sewerage Pipeline & Distribution, Railways, Real Estate, Industrial & Software Parks, Roadways, Hydel Based Power & Irrigation sectors.BY OWNERSHIP The State government agencies issued 6,140 tenders worth Rs 90,723.29 crore and accounted for 71.78 percent of the total tenders issued during the month. On the other hand, the Central government issued 2,302 tenders for various project-related works worth Rs 35,472.24 crore. Only 146 tenders worth Rs 194.71 crore were issued by the Private sector.BY SECTORS The Roadways sector saw issuance of 2,460 tenders worth Rs 32,541.75 crore in the month of May 2025. The most notable tender of the month was issued by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for 4-laning of Marakkanam-Puducherry Section of NH-332A from km 62.000 to km 108.047 (Mahabalipuram-Puducherry Package-III) (Project Length-46.047 km) in Tamil Nadu on HAM. The aggregate value of the tenders was Rs 1,178.05 crore.In all, the highways building agency, NHAI floated 232 tenders with an aggregate value of Rs 4,202.96 crore. While, the PWD Rajasthan floated 316 tenders with an aggregate value of Rs 3,745.34 crore, the Government of India, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) floated 81 tenders with an aggregate value of Rs 3,305.61 crore.The Community Services sector stood second, among the major sectors, with 2,526 tenders worth Rs 19,860.92 crore during May 2025.
