The Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL), and the State government are expected to complete the land acquisition process for Kovvada nuclear plant in Andhra Pradesh by end October, 2013.
The proposed nuclear power project will be set up with an installed capacity of 6,400 MW in Ranasthalam mandal. The government land of around 1,500 acre will be handed over to the NPCIL in a couple of months.
The project is facing hurdles for acquisition of 599 acre of private land.
A notification will be issued very soon mentioning all the property owners.
