Daikin India is planning to increase production capacity at its Neemrana plant in Rajastan by December 2013.
Daikin will operate the facility in two shifts and production will be increased to 500,000 units per annum. The plant which produces Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) units and chillers in the commercial segment, and split ACs in the residential segment, was set up in 2010. Currently, the facility works in single shift and the production is 800 units per day. Till now the company has invested Rs 740 crore in its India operations. With the increased production, the company will expand its market in the non-metro cities.
