The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai is planning to commence construction work of 15 foot over bridges (FoBs) in the city.
On the backdrop of rising number of accidents and for the convenience of commuters, the BMC decided to construct new 15 FoBs at various places in the city. The proposal was sanctioned in January last year on the Design-Build-Operate-Transfer (DBOT) basis at an estimated cost of Rs 25.63 crore. The civic body had planned to give advertising rights for next 15 years to contractors, through which they can recover their construction cost.
