The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has formulated a hybrid annuity model (HAM) for awarding some of its highway projects. The model concession agreement for the new model has been forwarded to the Union ministry of road transport and highways for approval.
NHAI has already identified four highway projects to be awarded under HAM. The projects are the 68 km long Wardha-Yeotmal-Waranga (Pkg-1, Maharashtra), 50 km long Delhi-Hapur (Delhi/Uttar Pradesh), 67 km Tuljapur-Ausa (Maharashtra), 57 km Govindpur-Chas-Jharkhand/West Bengal border.
