Oil & Natural Gas Corporation has commenced
work on replacing the Mumbai High-Uran pipeline. The project involves laying of
two 204-km sub-sea pipelines, with an investment of $600 million (Rs.2,760
crore). The oil pipeline would have a diameter of 30 inches and that of gas
pipeline 28 inches.
Hyundai of Korea has been selected as EPC
contractor. The project is expected to become operational in May 2005.
