Dahej SEZ Ltd -- a special purpose vehicle floated by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation -- has invited expressions of interest for developing the proposed special economic zone.

The proposed SEZ will predominantly cater to the chemical and petrochemical industries and would come up in an area of 1,840 ha to be culled out of the Dahej Industrial Park set up by GIDC.

ONGC has shown interest as an anchor tenant and will occupy a significant portion of the SEZ for its operations.

DSL wishes to select a strategic partner who would be responsible for infrastructure development, marketing and operations, and maintenance of the SEZ. The incumbent has the option to integrate the SEZ project with development of a port and residential township. The proposed developer would be offered equity stake ranging from 26 per cent to 51 per cent.
