Mumbai-based Valecha Engineering has secured a
contract worth Rs.133 crore from National Highways Authority of India for construction of Chittorgarh Bypass in Rajasthan.
The project that is part of National Highway
Development Project (Phase II), involves construction of a four-lane
divided carriageway and strengthening of existing carriageway with flexible
pavement, centre median, service roads, open and covered drains footpath etc.
Salient features of the project are;
- Approximate length - 29.6 km
- Major Bridge - One
- Railway Over Bridge - One
- Flyover - One
- Underpasses - 14
- Construction period - 24 months
- Construction of Toll plaza - One
(Note: Valecha Engineering would be executing
the project as a joint venture. The name of the JV partner is not available, as
yet.)
