Sanghi Industries is setting up a 3.5
million tpa cement unit at Kachchh district of Gujarat. It will entail an
investment of Rs.1,100 crore.
The new unit will come up in Lakhpat,
where the company already has a 2.6 million tpa unit. It will also involve a 60 MW
captive power plant with an investment of Rs.250 crore.
Work on the new cement unit is
underway with completion scheduled within a period of two years.
The company is also expanding the
cement capacity of its existing unit from existing 2.6 million tpa to 3.3
million tpa to increase the company's total capacity to 7 million tpa. Work on
the expansion project is scheduled for completion by October 2006.
