IVRCL Infrastructures & Projects will begin
construction work on three new orders by the first week of August 2006. Speaking
to ProjectsToday, senior IVRCL officials stated that these orders, together
valued at Rs.105 crore were received on 10 July 2006 alongside a Rs.185 crore
order received on the same day for the Koilsagar Lift Irrigation Scheme.
Elaborating on the three orders, IVRCL officials
stated that the first one, valued at Rs.32.3 crore, was from Karnataka Urban
Water Supply & Sewerage Board and involved laying of water pipelines in and
around Bangalore. The project is scheduled for commissioning within 12 months.
The second order, worth Rs.55.2 crore, was for
rural electrification works in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, under the Rajiv Gandhi
Gram Vidyutikaran Yojana. The scope of work involves laying of substations and
transmission lines of 11 kv and 33 kv in certain villages in Budaun district of
Uttar Pradesh and Saran district of Bihar. This project is expected to be
complete in 18 months.
The last order in this series pertains to
construction of the Prasadalaya Building, costing Rs.17.7 crore, at Shirdi in
Maharashtra. This order is scheduled for completion in 12 months.
