Bharat Heavy Electricals bagged an
order worth more than Rs.1,829 crore from Aravali Power Co. for commissioning 3
x 500 MW Aravali super thermal power project at Jhajjar in Haryana.
The scope of work envisages design,
engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the steam
generators along with associated auxiliaries and civil works. The Tiruchi unit
will supply boilers, Ranipet unit will supply auxiliaries such as electrostatic
precipitators, fans and air pre-heaters, BHEL's Hyderabad unit will supply
mills, while the Bhopal unit would supply motors. The Bangalore unit will supply
state-of-the-art control equipment. The northern region will undertake erection
and commissioning of the equipment.
Work on Unit I will be completed
within 36 months from the zero date with a time gap of three months between the
successive units.
