Mukand bagged an order worth Rs.154
crore from Steel Authority of India for the the installation of a universal
section mill, which is part of the 2.5 million tpa steel expansion project of
IISCO steel plant at Burnpur in Bardhaman district of West Bengal.
The contract was awarded to a
consortium led by SMS Meer GmbH of Germany. The Indian portion of the order
bagged by the consortium is valued at Rs.299 crore, of which Mukand's share is
at Rs.154 crore.
Mukand will execute its part of the
order along with its group company Mukand Engineers. The scope of the work
covers engineering and supply of auxiliary systems for the mill, including
associated electricals, EOT cranes with rotating trolleys and also on site
management of the mechanical equipment of the entire Mill including the erection
and commissioning work. The mill is scheduled to be commissioned in 24 months.
