Hyderabad-based Maytas Infra won an
EPC contract worth Rs.650 crore from Gupta Energy for the country's first
washery reject coal-based power plant.
The proposed coal-based power project
to be developed in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra will have a capacity of
120 MW. It will be implemented in two phases, with the first 60 MW to be
completed in 20 months and the second 60 MW in 22 months.
