Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) bagged
a contract worth Rs.338 crore from Steel Authority of India for turbo-blower
packages for its Rourkela steel plant.
BHEL's scope of work in the contract
envisages supply of three axial turbo-blowers with drive steam turbines along
with associated auxiliaries and controls, besides erection and civil works. The
equipment will be supplied by BHEL's manufacturing plants at Hyderabad and
Bangalore in a schedule of 29 months.
