Reliance
Infrastructure Ltd has bagged a Rs.2,676 crore expressway project from National
Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
Reliance
Infrastructure was the sole bidder for the the 135 km greenfield Eastern
Peripheral Expressway project, which will be implemented on BOT basis. The
project involves the construction of a six lane expressway with access control
highway connecting Faridabad-Noida-Gaziabad-Sonepat which will also act as
bypass to Delhi with a concession period of 20 years.
The project was
awarded to Reliance Infrastructure after two attempts of National Highway
Authority of India (NHAI), the nodal agency for awarding highway projects,
failed to attract any other bidder.
