Punj Lloyd has bagged
two contracts worth Rs.1,154.63 crore for various works in India and Libya.
The first EPC contract
worth Rs.104.58 crore is from Cairn Energy India for laying a crude oil heated
and insulated pipeline and a gas pipeline in a stretch of 56.52 km stretch in
section II for the
Mangala Development project in Gujarat. The 8" diameter gas pipeline has to
be laid in the same stretch as the 24" diameter crude oil pipeline. Along with
the laying of pipeline, Punj Lloyd will also construct three generator heating
stations to heat the crude oil and the gas from the 8" diameter line will be
used to run the generators. The project is scheduled to be completed in seven
months.
The second is a
infrastructure and utility project worth Rs.1,050.05 crore from Housing &
Infrastructure Board of Tripoli ( Libya). The project will be developed by Punj
Lloyd in JV with Public works Company, Tripoli. The scope of work includes
upgrading the infrastructure of Arada, and existing township in Tripoli. Punj
Lloyd will be involved in engineering, procurement and construction along with
commissioning of infrastructure network, sewage, storm water main and branch
lines, roads and other facilities. The project is scheduled to be completed in
four years.
Simon Carves India, a
subsidiary of Punj Lloyd has also received two letters of awards from Cairn
Energy India and Petrofac for the design and engineering of their pipelines.
