Electricals has bagged a contract worth Rs.1,920 crore from Petroleum
Development Oman (PDO) to supply, install and commission gas turbines in Oman.
PDO will be using the
126 MW gas turbines in its power plants. The contract will be valid for a period
of six years with a possible extension of another three years.
BHEL's turbines
already account for more than 50 percent of PDO's installed generating capacity.
The company has already carried out four EPC projects for PDO, which accounts
for over 90 percent of Oman's crude oil production and nearly all of its natural
gas supply.
