Aircel, a telecom
operator will be investing Rs.500 crore in Kerala as part of its Phase I
expansion plan.
The company will set
up 1,200 base stations in the state. The investment will be doubled in one year
when the services become fully operational. Aircel will begin the rollout in
Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in the next three or four months and complete the
coverage in the South India.
