Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has bagged an order worth Rs.81 crore from
Powergen Infrastructure for the manufacture and supply of generator transformers
for the upcoming 1,980 MW (3x660 MW) Tirora Thermal Power Project of Adani Power
Maharashtra at Tirora in Gondia district of Maharashtra.
The scope of order includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply and
installation of 10 numbers 270 MVA, 400 kV single-phase generator transformers,
which will be manufactured at BHEL's Bhopal plant. The supply of transformers is
expected to begin in December 2010 and is likely to be completed by December
2011.
