Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has bagged orders worth Rs 605 crore for various
works.
The first order worth Rs 165 crore is from the Rural Water Supply &
Sanitation Department, Andhra Pradesh for the supply of potable water to 152
inhabitants in Ananthpur district. The project is to be completed in 15 months.
The second order worth Rs 133 crore from the Delhi Jal Board is for designing
and laying pipelines from the
Dwarka Water Treatment plant to various areas of Dwarka, Najafgarh,
Daulatpur, Ujwa and Indira Gandhi International airport. The project is
scheduled to be completed in 21 months.
The third order valued at Rs 118 crore from Utkal Alumina International for
designing and constructing raw water intake structure and transmission pipeline
at their
Alumina plant at Rayagada district in Orissa. It is expected to be completed
in 17 months.
The company also won an order worth Rs 189 crore from SAIL-IISCO Steel plant
for civil works for rolling mill, BOP, CCP LDCP complex, lime
dolomite plant at Burnpur in West Bengal, to be completed in 12 months.
