Rajkot based Atul Auto (AAL) plans to set up an exclusive manufacturing plant
for four-wheeler goods carriers at Pune in Maharashtra, at an investment of Rs
125 crore.
AAL has reportedly readied a prototype at its Pune based R&D centre and a
feasibility report is under way. It has discussed the matter with a China based
company to import some components.
Currently, the company is manufacturing and marketing 12 models of its
three-wheelers through its 120 dealers in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Uttar
Pradesh and Rajasthan. It is now expanding to Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar,
Karnataka, West Bengal and Assam.
