The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure (CCI) on 25 February 2010 gave its
accord for the implementation of six projects for four-laning in Jammu & Kashmir
under NHDP Phase II on DBFOT basis.
The projects include Srinagar-Banihal, Qazigund-Banihal, Ramban-Banihal,
Udhampur-Ramban, Chenani-Nashri and Jammu-Udhampur sections. The total project
cost is estimated at Rs 9,377.46 crore and the concession period is 20 years,
including a construction period of three-five years.
Also, the CCI approved a Rs 839-crore project in Karnataka for six-laning of
114 km long Tumkur-Chitradurga section of NH-4 under NHDP Phase V on DBFOT
basis.
