Chennai based Pioneer Alloy Castings plans to augment its capacity to
1,20,000 tpa by 2011 with an investment of around Rs 150 crore.
The company is likely to expand the existing facilities and also set up a
greenfield facility. The company has two foundries at Gummidipundi (Tamil Nadu)
and Renigunta (Andhra Pradesh). It has acquired land at Tada in Nellore district
of Andhra Pradesh to set up its third high pressure unit at an investment of
about Rs 65 crore. The plant is likely to have a capacity of 5,000 tpm.
Besides, the company is keen on acquisitions which are likely to add another
1,500 tpm capacity to the company.
The proposed expansion and acquisition plan is likely to be funded through
debt and internal accruals.
