Subhash Projects & Marketing (SPML) is likely to begin commercial production
of coal from its PT Bism mine in Indonesia in April 2010.
The mine, which SPML bought with power equipment maker Emco, has reserves of
over 100 million tonne. SPML holds 55 per cent stake and Emco the rest. The
company plans to initially mine about 50,000-60,000 tonne a month and aims to
mine three million tpa at a later stage.
