Around 1,817 irrigation projects in 20 districts of Orissa are likely to be
revived under the scheme of Repair, Renovation and Restoration of Water Bodies.
These water bodies are to be revitalized within a period of three years at an
estimated cost of Rs 595.14 crore. The funding for these projects will be shared
between the Union Government and the Orissa Government in the ratio of 90:10 in
Kalahandi, Bolangir and Koraput. For the other districts, the share between the
central and state government will be 25 per cent and 75 per cent respectively.
