1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

UHBVN charts out investment plan for power distribution system

The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) has drawn out Rs 980 crore investment plan to further strengthen the power distribution system in its command area during current fiscal.

The plan is likely to cover Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind.

Under the plan, major stress is likely to be given to the scheme of strengthening the system by providing high voltage distribution system in urban, rural and agriculture sectors for which a sum of Rs 656 crore have been earmarked. Under the aggregated technical and commercial loss reduction plan, consumer metering, distribution transformer metering and feeders metering will be given special emphasis.

Also, UHBVN has a plan to set up new substations and augment capacity of existing substations with a total investment of Rs 114 crore. For erection of 11 kV lines, cables, transformers and bifurcation/trifurcation of lengthy and overloaded feeders, a sum of Rs 35 crore has been proposed.
