The Himachal Pradesh State Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority, led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has approved 28 new project proposals for setting up and expanding industrial enterprises.
These initiatives involve a total investment of over Rs 1,734 crore and are expected to create employment for around 5,388 people. The CM stressed the inclusion of skill-wise employment details in proposals and urged focus on labour-intensive and ecofriendly industries, particularly in IT, ITeS, and tourism sectors. Additionally, officials were directed to review lease transfer rates and consider a conversion policy for industrial plots in inner areas.
The meeting included key officials such as Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan and Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta.
