TGV SRAAC (formerly Sree Rayalaseema Alkalies and Allied Chemicals) has awarded a contract to thyssenkrupp nucera to expand its caustic soda production facility in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The expansion will increase the plant’s production capacity from 1,000 tpd to 1,500 tpd.
Under the agreement, thyssenkrupp nucera will provide engineering and proprietary equipment, leveraging its advanced e-BiTAC technology with Generation 7 elements.
The expansion project includes the installation of three additional electrolysers, supplementing the plant’s existing fleet of ten. Additionally, the work scope covers the establishment of a new chlorine unit, a waste air dichlorination system, and upgraded primary and secondary brine purification systems.
TGV SRAAC is the flagship company of the TGV Group, recognised as a leading producer of Chlor-Alkali products. The company also manufactures castor derivatives, fatty acids, and operates a 28 MW commercial power plant.
