Indian Peroxide (IPL), a prominent chemical manufacturer, has announced the development of a 400 TPD Chlor-alkali plant at its Dahej manufacturing complex in Gujarat, set to be commissioned by October 2026.
The new unit, based on advanced Japanese process technology, is part of IPL’s strategy for forward integration, enhancing its competitive edge in the global chemical market. The facility is designed to scale up to 800 TPD, ensuring long-term capacity expansion and supply security for the domestic market. This project builds on IPL’s growing hydrogen peroxide manufacturing base, with its existing 300 TPD hydrogen peroxide facility in Dahej, which serves industries such as FMCG, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and water treatment.
By adding the Chlor-alkali plant, IPL will strengthen its position in the value chain, creating synergies between hydrogen peroxide production and caustic soda. The project aims to reduce import dependence, boost domestic supply, and support key industries such as paper, textiles, and infrastructure.
