Airports Authority of India (AAI) is planning to set up a new domestic and international cargo complex at the Pune airport.
An area measuring 2,213 sq mtr has been provided for construction of the air cargo terminal, with a threshold area of 1,000 sq mtr each.
AAI is in the process of preparing the relevant drawings/layout plan for the proposed air cargo complex facility at Pune airport.
AAI has also undertaken a preliminary feasibility study of the proposed site for the upcoming greenfield airport at Khed (Pune). The government of Maharashtra has given in-principle approval for the site at Khed.
Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) is in the process of developing the master plan for the airport, including the land requirement.
