AB Energia has launched its wholly-owned subsidiary, AVIISII Electric Systems, to manufacture fixed-tilt steel mounting structures for ground-mounted solar power plants.
The move is a key step in the company’s growth strategy, allowing it to strengthen control over quality, reliability, and costs of mounting structures, which typically account for seven to eight percent of total EPC expenses—around Rs 18–20 lakhs per MWp. By internalising this process, AB Energia expects to enhance supply timelines and achieve better cost management.
The subsidiary will not only cater to AB Energia’s own EPC projects but also serve third-party contractors, opening a new revenue stream. According to Siddharth Bhatia, Managing Director of AB Energia Solutions, mounting structures are the foundation of solar plants, directly influencing longevity, performance, and safety. With AVIISII, the company aims to deliver precision-engineered, durable structures capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions. The initiative is expected to boost efficiency, profitability, and competitive advantage in India’s growing solar energy sector.
