ABB India has launched a new production line for variable speed drive (VSD) modules at its Peenya factory in Bengaluru, increasing its local production capacity by 25 percent.
This expansion supports the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make in India' initiatives, addressing the growing demand for energy-efficient drives. The new line will cater to industries such as buildings, data centres, water, cement, and metals. Local production is expected to reduce lead times by up to 40 percent, enhancing delivery efficiency. The line integrates advanced robotics and digital monitoring, aligning with Industry 4.0 standards, ensuring high-quality output. ABB India aims to improve reliability, speed, and agility in meeting customer needs while reinforcing its commitment to energy-efficient solutions.
This ergonomically designed production line incorporates integrated robotics to automate the manufacturing of a crucial component, and combines cutting-edge robotics with digital production monitoring, enabling rapid, precise handling of large batches while offering real-time operational insights.
