ACME Solar has successfully commissioned 52 MW of its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat, marking a significant step in its renewable energy expansion.
The project is being implemented in phases by its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy, with the latest phase contributing an additional eight MW. The electricity generated will be sold to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA). The project is financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC).
“This wind power project is a key part of ACME Solar’s strategy to expand its renewable energy footprint,” the company stated. ACME Solar, based in Gurugram, has an operational capacity of 2,942 MW and an under-construction capacity of 4,578 MW, including 15 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
