ACME Solar Holdings has emerged as the winning bidder for 130 MW under REMCL’s 1000 MW round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy project, with a tariff of Rs 4.35 per unit.
The letter of award (LoA) is expected soon. The power will be supplied directly to Indian Railways, which requires consistent power throughout the day due to its unique load demands. ACME Solar will ensure reliable, clean energy by integrating solar, wind, and energy storage systems (ESS) to meet the required round-the-clock supply. The company must guarantee an annual availability of 75 percent for the first three years, increasing to 85 percent thereafter.
The project is to be commissioned within 30 months of signing the power purchase agreement (PPA). ACME Solar’s existing portfolio, with available land and connectivity, is expected to expedite the process.
