A state-of-the-art data centre focused on the 'judicious use' of artificial intelligence (AI) in e-governance and digital inclusion will soon be established in Jaipur, supporting the Rajasthan government’s efforts to drive innovation and growth.
The announcement was made by Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw during the Rajasthan Regional AI Impact Conference-2026, which concluded the Rajasthan DigiFest TiE Global Summit. He highlighted India's growing technological strength, citing the country’s ranking as third globally in AI competitiveness according to the Stanford University Global AI Vibrancy Index 2025. He also shared that a new AI training program is benefiting many young people in Rajasthan.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasised that Rajasthan's AI and Machine Learning Policy will enhance public service delivery, bring transparency, and support citizen-centric governance. Plans include setting up an AI Centre of Excellence and promoting AI education and skilling for the youth.
