AIIMS Bibinagar, a super-specialty medical institute being established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) has achieved 85.97 percent physical progress as of December 2025, keeping the project on track for completion by 30 June, 2026.
The project, located in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, began in July 2022, and accelerated rapidly after a PRAGATI review by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2023, which resolved key bottlenecks and expedited decision-making. Critical issues, including permanent high-tension power supply and water connection, were addressed, enabling uninterrupted operations and campus development. The institute, fully funded by the Central government, will offer advanced healthcare services, strengthen tertiary care, and support primary and secondary facilities under the National Health Mission.
It will also provide MBBS, MD, DM, MCh, nursing, and allied health education, generating around 3,000 direct employment and boosting indirect employment in housing, transport, and local services. Highlighting the significance, officials noted that PRAGATI has ensured timely coordination and removal of bottlenecks, driving rapid project progress.
