Abellon CleanEnergy has signed a concession agreement with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), for development of a municipal solid waste processing project in Gujarat.
Under the concession agreement, AMC will deliver 1,000 tonne per day of municipal waste to the site and provide 13 acre of land on lease for the tenure of the project.
Abellon CleanEnergy has received a letter of award from AMC to design, build, finance, and operate the plant.
The green power generation capacity of the waste-to-energy plant is expected to be 13-14 MWh. Abellon is in the process of obtaining the necessary approvals and is also working on the process of fund raising and financial closure for the project.
Commissioning and construction of the plant will take around 24 months after financial closure.
