Adani Green Energy (AGEL) marked a significant milestone in its renewable energy journey, reporting a 30 percent year-on-year surge in its operational capacity to 14,243 MW for the financial year 2024-25.

The company announced that this figure is set to climb further, with an additional 1,000 MW nearing completion, potentially pushing the total beyond 15,000 MW. This sharp rise comes in comparison to its FY24 capacity of 10,934 MW. A considerable portion of the expansion was driven by its solar portfolio, which jumped from 7,393 MW to 10,103 MW.

Wind capacity also witnessed notable growth, increasing from 1,401 MW to 2,000 MW. However, hybrid capacity, which blends wind and solar technologies, remained constant at 2,140 MW. The expansion in capacity directly contributed to higher energy sales, which climbed to 27,969 MUs in FY25, up from 21,878 MUs in the previous financial year.

The bulk of this increase was powered by solar energy sales, which surged to 16,738 MUs from 11,046 MUs in FY24. Wind projects generated 3,834 MUs, compared to 3,188 MUs a year earlier. Hybrid energy sales also saw a marginal increase, reaching 7,397 MUs from 7,643 MUs in FY24.

AGEL’s robust performance in FY25 underscores its growing footprint in India’s renewable energy sector and its commitment to expanding clean energy infrastructure.
