Adani Wilmar has plans to invest Rs.95
crore to establish an edible oil refinery of 1,200 tonnes per day capacity
supported by a 4 MW captive power plant.
This will be the company’s second refinery and
will come up near its existing one at Mundhra, located about 10 km away from
the Mundhra port in Kachchh district of Gujarat.
The output from the second refinery is
primarily for the exports market.
Adani Wilmar, a joint venture between Adani
Group and Wilmar of Singapore is engaged in refining and marketing of edible
oils such as soyabean oil, sunflower oil, cottonseed oil, groundnut oil, mustard
oil and a blend of palm and soyabean oil. The products are sold under the brand
‘Fortune’.
