Airtel, the telecom brand of Bharti Televentures,
plans to establish the largest network in Gujarat by covering 400 towns by end-2005.
The expansion plan is likely to cost Rs.4,000 crore.
The company is in the process of setting up 500
new cell-sites that will result into a strong network of 1,300 sites in the
state. Airtel will also
set up its new units in 200 towns. Airtel has also set a target to cross 1
million subscribers from the current 5.62 lakh.
